You are basically right--I do refuse any more talk in this direction because the basic principle you've just enunciated, there are no other realities but dualistic ones, I think is just Platonic bunk, the kind Pirsig was denunciating.

And because we disagree on this very basic orientation to what we are doing, we keep disagreeing over basics, which makes detailed conversation about the internals of our respective philosophies weird to the other person.

Any fundamental conversation between the two of us would have to begin, in part, _before_ Pirsig, a metaphilosophical conversation about what philosophy is.
