Hardly a non sequitur. If beauty leads to affirmation of God (as you suggest),
what does ugliness lead to? Disaffirmation of god? 

If I see a beautiful sunset, and ascribe this to a god, then what should I
think when I see a mundane, dismal sunset beset with clouds, gray skies and
otherwise unremarkable?
