Hi David,

Sometimes I get to giggling when I picture myself on my deathbed, and as
someone comes by to check if I've passed or not, I with my last

breath, whisper, "But Hume was an empiricist." I'm afraid I am a

very sad excuse for a woman...

Good one. I enjoy last words, my favorite is Oscar Wilde's "Either that
wallpaper goes or I do."

Hume was an empiricist, and I have no sense of humor about this stuff,
everyone who is not an empiricist is just making things up as they go along.
Tell me what you, yourself saw, tell me what you feel and then tell me how
you interpret it, what you think about it. Our ability to communicate is
based on our common experiences.

You seem like an unusually well read and thoughtful woman to me, and I've
met a few. -david swift
