i don't hate platt or anyone else here. to tell the truth i have some sort
of strange respect for platt. he is definitely sticking to his guns, i guess
the prob is that this statement may be taken literally.

Andre:
I don't hate anyone, not even a Bush or a Mugabe...(i think)...definately
not Platt. I respect Platt and hope he has not taken my tantrum personally.
Platt represents a set of values millions of people do. I only cannot
reconcile some of these (the right to carry a gun and private property) with
the MoQ and the path which the MoQ has opened up for us.

quality (as far as humans are concerned) acts primarily (exclusively?)
through our choices, which means taking responsibility for the world being a
mirror of ourselves. the world is fucked up cos we are fucked up...and why
are we fucked up? because of division - because of separation, because we
forget that you am i and i am you and i am he and she as well. which renders
any blame placing illogical.

Lennon sang 'I am he as you are me as you are we as we are altogether' and
there is a lot of soul searching taking place among those that care. Blaming
IS illogical in an MoQ sense and sometimes I get the feeling that SOM cannot
do anything else...that it is its driving force (its dq. ..constantly
finding excuses at throwing its own shit around and re-inventing the wheel
in a different and sometimes not so different guise.
In this sense Bodvar is correct when he argues that (SOM) intellect is
static. It keeps on going around in circles and it cannot find the door..let
alone the key to open the door.Its dominant part denies a different reality
because the stakes are too high and too many people have too much to
lose...all so incredibly lonely... .

i guess the US is, as pirsig says, the best and worst of us. its dynamism is
unparalleled and it is therefore prone to degeneracy as much as betterment.
to be attached to a nation though, nowadays is a total anachronism. let's
face it we are of the world full stop: we are going to survive together or
suffer and die divided...it's fucking obvious! (isn't it? - tell me if i am
wrong please)

Which is what has been happening since time memorial in our western way of
doing things. You are right gav, but to suggest to many people that we are
more alike than that we differ and that where we differ we are also more
alike is to up-end the whole show. All this individualistic stuff
accentuating one's 'identity' are again the efforts of SOM thinking, plus
the dynamics of the market place reinforcing this, to keep the whole empty
illusion going...the mindlessness of the market, an intellectual bankrupty,
a self perpetuating merry-go-round.

only when we are unconscious are we tossed about like flotsam...when we are
conscious we are plugging back into the matrix with intent!! and we are
harnessing the power of the matrix for good.

Andre:
Yes, what is the alternative? We are all these patterns. Thank goodness for
Pirsig and his MoQ where 'the poor, misguided, directionless familiar'
 (Fish) are finding a voice, and speak and behave and experience
accordingly.

Same here mate, as you said earlier the Aussies can be a pretty staunch
lot...overall they are a good lot as well.
