Hi DMB,

Is this the book?

Vanderbilt/dp/082651426X

I've been looking for something to read about pragmatism. Do you think
that Pirsig fits in with the pragmatist tradition?

I just finished reading Philosophy and Social Hope by Rorty who writes
a lot about Dewey and considers Dewey his philosophical hero or
something like that. I was unaware that Dewey embraced James' radical
empiricism. Rorty doesn't seem to think experience is worth talking
about while Dewey apparently did based on your quote of Hildebrand's
book. Do you know why Rorty is not a radical empiricist? (I suppose
Matt K may be better able to answer.)

I haven't heard much about your studies beyond that you are studying.
What are you working on?

Regards,
Steve
