Bo said to dmb:
...From this "diagram fallacy" the mis-conception of a Quality/ MOQ metaphysics springs, where Quality is the real thing with the MOQ some theoretical play with words. This is positively wrong. Quality is intrinsically part of the MOQ.
dmb replies:
I realize that you are sticking to your guns on this point and for you this represents a huge problem in need of a solution. And you think your SOL is that needed solution. But I don't think there is a problem. Or rather the problem is only to be found in your own misconceptions. The metaphysics of Quality is a set of ideas presented in a book, not reality itself. Ideas are always a limited reflection of reality as it is experienced. As a rule, the pragmatists say that reality is too rich and think and overflowing to be pinned down by verbal meanings. The MOQ is not an exception to this rule. Frankly, the problem that concerns you most strikes me as quite ridiculous and quite obviously wrong.
As others in this forum have repeatedly pointed out to you, other thinkers have asserted the same idea. I think it would help if you took that more seriously by looking elsewhere for yourself.
