Not sure if I've made my point clear as I wobbled about,
but there's a whole bags full of words to build something
out of.
dmb:
But all of that is rather trivial compared to the beliefs that motivate
people to do outrageous things. These are the beliefs worth discussing, no?

Yes David, I agree...but I felt this exchange very interesting and
clarifying for me.
To finish this part off then...just by chance I heard a TV commentator (old
cricketer) the other day, describe what he did when confronted with a bowler
who threw the ball at him at 150 kms/hr from 22yards away.He simply said:
'Well, you don't think!'...you don't have time to , you have to act'.

Which is, I think, the point Mel was making.
