God, let's hope so. It's high time to reject the hubris of the
humanist/scientist worldview that we're just heaps of meat, that
when we think something it's just chemicals, when we love something
it's more chemicals, and when we die all the chemicals go back in
the ground and that's it. No wonder Pirsig summed up the state of
modern civilization by saying simply, " . . . the 'quality' of it was
