Within my experience, Quality is this and isn't that.  Maybe it is something

Not this, not that.  But which is relatively better?  This?  or That?
 Leaving it at nothingness comes across as negative whereas Quality is
supposed to be something positive to aim for, even though we can never be
sure we have it, we oughta try.
