I have friends who live in the city and they have a barn with a pond across
the highway from me where I can go anytime I want. I used to keep my shop
over there. And in this country, even the poor people are fat. Maybe
even moreso. I think there is more limitation to creative solutions to
living in people's heads than there are in reality.
And I loved Walden. My signature used to be Thoreau's "The young man
assemble the materials to build a staircase to the moon and the old man
proceeds to build a woodshed out of them." because I was thinking of going
into the woodshed business. Lately it's been the wood staircase business
which pays better.
