... but I noticed an interesting piece on Terry Eagleton's latest work here.

With Baby and Bathwater I'm not sure God and Religion fall neatly
either side of this metaphor.
Religion ? Certainly, certainty that entertains uncertainty is better
than blind faith (in anything). Certainty with quality as Lu said.
God ? kinda depends what you mean - said the non-theist.
