Nick:
Well my actions are intellectualized to be in accord with the NAP. I will
not initiate physical coercion.

The ultimate end is flourishing/quality. It is not life (person). The life (birth-death cycle)
of a dog, criminal, and Pirsig would be all the same if life was the ultimate
end, but it is not. Flourishing/quality/pursuit of happiness is the ultimate end for I see
these three are distinct. If life (birth-death cycle) was the ultimate end, then there would
be no way to make a distinction between these three, mere beings upon the birth-death cycle,
but what is striking is we can see a difference. There is more to the birth-death cycle and
it is that a criminal is not living a very flourishing life, but Pirsig with excellence has been able
to flourish his experience and reason in a way to share in writing an inquiry of quality.
