Certainly among the "better Red than dead" crowd of the 60's who are 
today's left-wing radicals, the notion of putting one's life in jeopardy to 
defend individual liberty is crazy. Can you imagine the proponents of 
gay marriages and illegal immigrant sanctuaries storming the beaches 
of Normandy?
