Are you familiar with what is called "Scandanavian Activity Theory"? 
Personally, I don't use the nationalistic demarkers, but each of the 
variations of Activity Theory has, I suppose, enough uniquity to 
warrant some form of formal distinction. In any event, since you're 
involved in psychology, I think AT makes a really interesting 
theoretical frame.

Also note that in Wikipedia's bibliography, there is Bonnie Nardi, an 
AT, information ecology, researcher who is also a Night Elf Priestess 
in Azeroth.
