Enlightened emperors? They show up now and then the be sure but in the end
it hardly seems worth the wait. And if  everyone had no desire maybe that
would be all wonderful too but the history of people holding their breath
waiting for such things is a trail of asphyxiated corpse.

As you reminded me, I think THE most profound truth ever uttered on this
planet is "Shit Happens." It is fundamental to both religion and science.
All else is commentary.

BTW,  that is the second or third time you have reposted Case on Shit
Happening. Maybe I'll send it to Horse to post as an essay. But I suspect
that the result would be that you would still be the only one to read it...
