OK but what she said was "we are energy beings..." She was speaking quite
literally. We transduce physical energy from the environment into neural
impulses. We do this with our sensory systems; converting light, heat,
kinetic and chemical energy into motion, heat, thought and chemical energy.
We take stored chemical energy in the food we eat and the air we breathe and
convert it into energy to build and repair our bodies. We are energy beings
and life is all about the complex circulation of dynamic energy becoming
static and dissolving back into the dynamic over and over again.
