MP: Generally speaking, yes. 

(Subject of course to a common understanding of the words "faith", "supported" 
and "assumption." The way the meaning of words is manipulated around here I 
am growing increasingly hesitant to answer even the simplest of questions 
without a caveat about word definitions.)
