Hey Sharath,
First, a warm welcome to the group. Not to worry about your English. It's
better than most current English major college graduates, and light years
above your average high school graduate in the U.S. Our educational
system at all levels is a disgrace.
Your observation of the relationships between whites and blacks in the U.S.
today is wonderfully perceptive. In fact, an entire book written by a black
entitled "White Guilt" supports what you see. I recommend it to anyone who
doubts what you say is true.
I'm sure I speak for others as well as myself in encouraging you to share
with us your impressions of American life. As Pirsig pointed out, we all wear
a pair of cultural spectacles which tend to blind us to truths about ourselves.
I look forward to more of your insights about the U.S. and your views about
Pirsig's Metaphysics of Quality (MOQ).
Regards,
Platt
