KO,
I was just wondering. I suppose there is the matter of degree. What
little I've seen of the Dalai Lama, he seems to be enthusiastic. I'm
thinking about these things. I have heard it stated that a Buddhist
trend in the U.S. is to practice Buddhism, but to deny being a
Buddhist, or an association with the religion. I have done this
myself, while practicing mindfulness, reading extensively about
emptiness and Buddhist philosophy. 'Philosophy' seems an acceptable
word, religion does not. What gets labeled (maybe) as Eastern
Mysticism seems to be a mystery only when you are not pragmatically
and experientially practicing meditation which gives vital
information about the nature of 'thoughts'.
Just curious, and thank you for responding.
