Wait, are you making a joke about Ron's very odd denial
of telling people the authority he's quoting?

Ron said:
My very odd denial was in response to recognizing the
particular rhetorical devices employed by their request.
(this Charlie Brown is tellin lucy to find another sucker).

Matt:
Fair enough.  I have to say, as rowdy as Marsha can get,
I saw none of it in that particular request, the rhetorical
device appeared to be what they call a "question," it
seemed quite polite, your response seemed out of
nowhere, and--on top of all that--I cannot for life of me
imagine why someone would quote without attribution: if
the whole idea of bringing outsides authorities in is to
bolster your argument, or whatever, lack of attribution
just makes them your words, in an odd kind of stealing
(for no apparent reason).

It's just weird, and I was wondering the same thing as
Marsha.  The large blockquotes with no attribution have
the effect of gusts of wind through a conversation:
meaningless, and a little annoying.

Ron:
Every quote that is not agreed with or runs counter to her position
are gusts in the wind.was'nt going to go down that road again with her Matt.
sorry if you think it was out of line,I felt My source mattered little in the conversation
Marsha repeatedly stated she has no time for any sort of authoritative quotes,
they are meaningless to her, so I took her request as a rhetorical device to shut me up.

But your definition is relative to your "take", not mine, not even the
infamous Wiki's.

Rorty says?  You must be kidding!  Has Rorty become King of the World?
Has Rorty replaced Wikipedia?

Marsha:
See what?  You've offered words, and I do see them as evidence

You constant presentation of wiki-thought, and lack of original
explanation is boring...
