SOM evolves from mammalian bonding.     This explains its world-wide
prevalence - it is the bedrock emotional basis of our being.  We all
experience a sophisticated otherness in our transition from nurture to wean
- a relationship reinforced by the biological will to survive - but
independent of it.  The mother forces the child to suffer - accompanied by
emotionally transmitted signs of disapproval - butting away, the child must
forage for food on its own.  The bedrock relationship of self/other is
created with emotional ties that make it seem to us universal and
fundamental.


It is only through sophisticated objective analysis of this view which
creates the rudimentary beginning of what we MoQists call, the 4th level.
SOM is the entryway to the 4th level of being, and for those who go no
further deem it everything.


When actually,  its just... kindergarten.
