All "things" are appearances derived from Essence. Existence is perceived
as an operational system, the forces of which are part of the system. Like
the combustion engine which uses the force of exploding fuel to drive a
wheel shaft, or a TV set which uses the RF energy of a transmitted signal to
produce a picture, existence uses the potential of Essence to actualize the
self/otherness dichotomy which converts value into differentiated phenomena.

By the way, Craig, atomic "particles" went out with quantum theory.
Polarity (contrariety), like time and space, is the nature of existence.
You've got to think in terms of "energy relations" today if you want to keep
up with nuclear physics. Metaphysically speaking, however, I see essential
value as the driving force of existential phenomena. Value is that aspect
of Essence which we all sense pre-intellectually and differentiate
experientially. Our dynamic universe is the product of these human
functions.

Understood essentially, that is.
