Andre
...it is just exasperating, on a MoQ forum, to hear such distorted
interpretations...reminds me of Nixon's response that Mi Lai was
destroyed 'in order to be saved for democracy'.

Craig:
This is a serious accusation.? Do you have a source for this item?

Andre:
Hi Craig, seems my memory is as guilty of distortion as a few other's.
I can only find references to links where hundreds of pages of reports
float (and of course countless books) with regard to this atrocity.
The closest I get to is:

'..in the wake of the My Lai massacres: 'nobody ever told us they were
human' ... of a village in Vietnam: 'We had to destroy it in order to
save it'. ...'. ( Lieutenant Calley (co) in 'Taking the Risk out of
Democracy' Corporate Propaganda versus Freedom and Liberty by Alex
Carey).

Guess I should remove my reference to Nixon (which is no great loss)
but attribute it to 'the great propaganda machine'.

Andre, with a selective memory.
