[John]
I don't quite get Arlo's complaint against Platt, how can having a
cosmically intrinsic directional pull toward betterness impinge upon freedom?
[Arlo]
Words like "produce", "create", "controlling" all imply a volitional
and intentional orchestration by some external force.
[John]
Does Arlo complain against gravity because it forbids him from
floating off into the aether?
[Arlo]
Gravity does not "forbid" anything. That would imply intentional
control. Like when you parents "forbid" you from having ice cream
before dinner.
Since we are talking about "better" words, I suggest "structurate".
[John]
A cosmos without quality is like a rollercoaster in space - meaningless.
[Arlo]
Since when did Arlo ever say the cosmos is without Quality?
