The entire moq is RMP's ego exerting itself.

Andre:
Hi Squonk, this conclusion(?) is, I think, a bit unfair. The issues
RMP concerned himself with certainly 'hit a nerve' if we go by the
sales of ZMM and LILA. It says something about the idea that we are
all individuals, each with our own problems and our own ways of
seeking answers. This (SOM) notion has been belied very often and has
once again been proved by the publication of the two said books.

Remember Sting's 'Message in a Bottle'?

This whole notion of individuality, I, the Self, etc is an illusion as
soon as you start thinking about it. The inability or refusal to think
about it keeps on feeding the SOM 'Giant', and when you realise that
it is an illusion, in a seeming contradictory way, the 'Giant'
disappears.

A person asked of the Buddha: 'Are you God?' To which the Buddha replied: 'No'.
Are you some sort of super human character? To which the Buddha
answered: 'No, I am merely awake'.

I really think Mr. Pirsig has put a program down on paper that has
potential to improve the world and wake people. It 'pops' so many
fallacies and hot air constructions I wouldn't even know where to
begin.

Anyway, I am beginning to rant and rave and have little time.
