Perhaps. But we also should not demonize nor vilify "intellect", as 
would be the motive of anti-intellectualism. The way I see it is 
intellect *is* atop the moral hierarchy and *should* be responded to 
as such. But, as you say, this must also occur within a framework 
that places the "code of art" (Pirsig's speculation about what 
"level" would be above intellect) above intellect, and all with an 
eye towards the undifferentiated aesthetic continuum (my words) of Quality.

In other words, raging against "intellect" is as low quality as the 
drive to encapture everything in "logic" or "reason".
