Here's another quibble for you.  Art is intellectual.

Yeah, its a quibble. I'd say "art" emerges from all aspects of being, 
like the Buddha being in a poem or a motorcycle engine. It is the way 
of doing something that reveals the Godhead (Pirsig's word). Art most 
certainly *can* be intellectual, the Godhead I am sure rests quite 
comfortable in composing a metaphysics as it does in repairing a 
motorcycle, planting a garden, or painting a picture.

I don't think intellect is bad, it just needs to be kept in its 
proper place and relation to the whole.
