We certainly agree here too. Last report I heard was that the Arctic 
sea ice has grown for two years in a stretch now, but do you think that 
makes a dent in the new "carbon dioxide" lobby? Never! The pundits 
of this mini-nation speak as if only we would drive cars less the  
climate will be saved. The megalomania is limitless.

If you hint to communism  under Stalin and Pol Pot it was an 
intellectual experiment going amok by destroying the social base 
completely. It it may sound contradictory but "collectivization" in the 
sense of confiscating the property of the former land owners wasn't 
"social value" at all, but totally destroying it. Contradicting (the notion of 
communism = intellect) is also Pol Pot's project of sending all 
"intellectuals"  from the cities and into manual labor, but it was the 
same "intellect going amok" effect. Maybe global warming is intellect - 
by away of science - going amok too? .
