[MD] Problems with Intellectual control of Society

Hi All,

I don't have time right now to comment on specifc posts here, but I
wanted chinme in with my views. As I understand the issue, the carbon
atom is to biological patterns as emotions are to social patterns and
language is to intellectual patterns. I see carbon, emotions, and
language as gateway patterns that open doors to higher levels of
evolution. Emotions are the biological patterns that made the
evolution of social patterns possible.

Also, I think greater clarity in understanding the distinctions
between levels can be gained in considering the different ways that
patterns are maintained or "latched." Biological patterns are
maintained through DNA. Social patterns are maintained through
unconscious copying of human behavior. Intellectual patterns are
maintained through unconscious copying of rationales for human
behavior.
