Its why I'm still bemused that Bo sees SOMist Intellect as the pinnacle of MoQ.

(As an aside - since reading Lindley, I'm re-reading Heisenberg's
"Physical Principles of QM".
Although he is characterized in the Copenhagen histories as
unconcerned with metaphysical questions, "unconcerned" does not really
do his position justice. In fact he is actually very explicit that in
describing QM, no-one should think he is saying anything at all about
reality - that's something completely different.)

That quote about sums it up. It's speaks volumes about certainty.
certainty is the illusion. The one Bo wrestles with.
Pirsig has stated
Experience is dynamic, how it is understood is static.
How experience is understood is uncertain and open to interpretation.

SOM is a certainty about experience, so certain that it assumes
it's way of understanding as THE understanding, so certain, it assumes it's
way of understanding IS reality. So certain it claims it's way of understanding
IS understanding. So certain it is blind to all other ways of understanding.

RMP states that a Quality understanding, is the understanding that there is no
one way to understand experience, a Quality understanding is dynamic and ever
in flux, a Quality understanding is uncertain. A Quality understanding is open
to many ways of understanding experience.

Therefore, it seems, a Quality understanding does not transcend certainty
but drops certainty. Transcendance of certainty implies certainty is still intact
that it is yet another illusion of certainty a greater form of certainty
Perhaps to build on certainty opens the possibilty of laying a false foundation
for a Quality understanding.
