who is this "Beethoven" you speak of? the composer?
he's dead...I can't listen to him..but I can listen to his music
that he wrote using the manipulation of abstract symbols
that are not reified into objects..but sounds..

Ron my pretty,

You ask: "I ask, what about cultures that have an oral tradition?
WHERE do they fit in to your position of SOM=the intellectual level?"

I answer:  Cultures built on an oral tradition are complex of ever-changing,
interrelated and interconnected, inorganic, biological, social and
intellectual, static patterns of value responding to Dynamic Quality.  They
don't fit, they flow.

I cannot untangle the bit about Bo, I've explained many times that I
consider there to be a difference between intelligence, an activity
involving multiple levels of patterns, and intellect which represents a
particular category of s/o pattern.

What is this 'they' you are asking about?  Within the MoQ, Reality is
Quality which is unpatterned experience and patterned experience.  That's
it, right now.

Again, 'cultures built on an oral tradition' do not fit anywhere.  Cultures
built on an oral tradition are a complex of ever-changing, interrelated and
interconnected, inorganic, biological, social and intellectual, static
patterns of value responding to Dynamic Quality.

You should try some Beethoven, it might help your mental sluggishness.

Marsha

Marsha,
SOM=the intellectual level

sound familier?..thats isolating all humans as a single entity
and as having one particular way of thinking and viewing
experience.

I ask, what about cultures that have an oral tradition?
WHERE do they fit in to your position of SOM=the intellectual level?

I ask because they do not fit into your scheme as the intellectual level
being defined by the reification and objectification of words...

so where do they fit in?

Do you take Bo's position? that "intelligence" and the intellectual level
are two different things?
That cultures of oral traditions, on par with "intelligent" dogs?

That also means that they do not respond intellectually to DQ.

All I ask is WHERE do they fit into your metaphysical view?

so where do they fit?

-Ron
