Ron,
For me, what is most important is experience.

I just think that by creating new prejudices that transcend old prejudices
is simply re-decorating the prison cell.

Marsha before:
Within the last few months I have come to the conclusion that, like Bo has
been arguing, that Intellectual patterns are ALL of the subject/object
type. That is, Intellectual patterns are about the process that reifies
concepts and symbols to be acted upon by a independent self. The pronouns
and nouns are a dead giveaway. This is not from the MoQ point-of-view, but
from a SOM point-of-view.
Ron :
It is precisely this SOM point of view that MoQ rejects. The point of view
that is absolute,
cultural-centric and value-less.
Marsha:
Yup. The SOM point-of-view is an illusion.
Ron:
It uncovers this "point of view" as an illusion. It is this point of view
that is rejected not
the interpretation of s/o. It makes s/o one of many pictures in a gallery,
one of "many truths".
Marsha:
I see it differently. I see the MoQ's focus on value puts it far beyond som
and deserving a level separation.
Ron:
It is very tempting to want to make the MoQ a transcendant level, one
"above" intellect
it makes one feel superior to others, "enlightened" ..
Marsha:
Go read your rant of July 17th before you go insinuating something about
ego.
Ron:
It think that way leads to ego gratification... smugness and elitism
Marsha:
You are so cute when you're throwing punches in the air.
Ron:
You may say that the self is an illusion, but that illusion sure gets
pissed off when others disagree with it...it invents justifications
for it's "superior" point of view. A point of view built apon the
transcendance
of prejudices not the destruction of them.
Marsha:
You are not clear, but it sounds like you are caught in your own
projections. Who's 'pissed off'? Who is 'superior'?
Ron:
I feel there is a distinction between the two.
and that distinction makes all the difference.
Marsha:
You are free to interpret what you feel in whatever way you think. As I've
paraphrased Lila many times: reality is what ever you think it to be.
Marsha
p.s. I've picked up my book and it looks delicious.
