That my friend is what is stirring the pot.

Yep, I think you are probably right.

What really disgusts me is how "inciting a angry mob" has become
equated with claiming political victory. How long do you think it
will be until we see actual violence in the streets? How much do you
want a bet that that is what they WANT? I mean, why on earth would
you drumbeat such egregious and blatant distortions and villainous
rhetoric over and over?

"Death panels"? They (the Prime Squalkers) aren't that stupid.
Limbaugh and Palin *know* this passage (1) was proposed by a
Republican and (2) is identical to the same "end of life counseling"
provision passed with near unanimous Republican support. They *know*
they supported it then.

The School Speech? They *know* Bush gave a similar address, supported
by Gingrich, that asked students to write the same "letter" to the
President. They *know* Reagan used his nationally-televised Q&A with
school students to push his ideological agenda. They *know* this.

Had that same speech been delivered by a "conservative" president,
we'd be hearing about how patriotic and uplifting it was. Do you
think that same speech, had it been given verbatim by McCain,
would've set the squalkers squalking "banal" and "cliche"? Hardly.

So why do they do it? Why make your political strategy "incite mobs
with lies and distortions"? That should be the question we are
asking. Why is it working? That should be the thing we are all
wondering (this is what you've offered, and I agree). And why is it
appearing here? That should be something of which we should be ashamed.
