Break it up, kids, this is going no where, and the only one of you who
actually has anything to say, is getting dragged down to the level of the
other.

When my kids were little and they'd set up one of these chants (they've
learned, mommy HATES chanting - repetitive, ongoing noise of any kind - ,
makes me crazy!!) I would say words to this effect:

"Enough! Can't you see that this is not a conversation - it's not going
anywhere. The point isn't to come to any understanding, it's not to
converse, but to convert -  And neither party in this Convert-sation is EVER
going to accede defeat; it just becomes monotonous and boring. Time to move
on, or change tactics."

Jaques Ellul said that Politics (in our time) is the realm of the demonic,
and I agree with him. People are just people - Obama inherited crap from
Bush, who inherited crap from Clinton, and back and back in time we go. Each
one did some good stuff, each one added some crap of their own. Obama's just
a guy. The left idolize him, the right demonize him, neither is the truth.

But you go right ahead and "Tow that party line", regardless of the flotsam
and jetsum that has become attached to it.

I am a seeker of the Truth. I will listen for Truth, no matter who's mouth
it comes out of, and I will disregard politics completely.
