Indeed, what would that be? the self as entity is empty
an illusion of plurality.
Indeed! what would it be!
experience?
Be-ing?
now?
timeless and all pervading?
it must be the natural
the flow of the dynamic
the Quality that "is"
the faith to follow it
leads away from the illusion of entity
it requires strength, will, desire of another sort?

Ron,
Faith in yourself? What self would that be? RMP has stated that the
concept of a self is a static pattern of value. I imagine that would go for
other selves too.

Steve,
Interesting take on tolken. I have always felt that Boromir was
the most tempted because he was most open to the temptation
of power and conquest. His glory, was in conquest for Gondor.
Denethor held him in high regard and reinforced it. Faramir, who
was overlooked did not have this passion he was tempted but
his father's rebuff held more sway in his heart and he knew no
glory could ever trump over his brothers in Denethors eyes.
if faith was demonstrated, it was Aragorns faith in frodo
it was Samise's faith in frodo ,for frodo stopped believing
in himself and ironically it was gollum's greed which undid
the ring.
It was about having faith in yourself and each other.
About fellowship
Is it faith? or more simply the lack of desire?
better put
is the desire for self-lessness a greater force than selfishness?
