Horse, with a query to Bo --

Okay, sorry I mistook Bo's statement for one of yours. I'll let him explain
the meaning of his phrasing in this quote of 4/1:

> FYI: The SOL does NOT say that the 4th level consists of
> subjects and objects, rather it is the SOM (the "objective-
> over-subject" approach) without its "M"!!!!

I can understand SOM "without its 'M'", but not the "objective-over-subject"
bias attributed to this dichotomy. Is it the SOM (objectivist) view that
objects "dominate" subjects?

And, Horse, I believe you did say this to Bo on 4/2:

> But your main contention has always been that the Intellectual level of
> the MoQ is Subject Object Metaphysics i.e. a metaphysical position that
> posits
> Subjects and Objects as the basis of reality.

My question concerns the reference by you and others in this forum to the
"metaphysical position" of the subject/object relationship. Specifically,
what is metaphysical about it?

I'd still appreciate your slant on why Pirsig chose to posit objective
reality (experienced subjectively) as a metaphysical concept.

Thanks, Horse.
