Hi Mary,

We were just discussing this very thing this morning around the brunch
table. Lu and I went to visit our daughter's school this weekend and we
were talking with my daughter and her friends about philosophers; whether
they are born that way, or made that way.

And why there aren't very many girl philosopher's.

I agree that everybody has this "why" built in to them. It seems to me that
everybody can hum a tune also, but not everybody has musical ability. What
makes philosopher's why different is that they are never satisfied (for
long) with the answers given when they ask.

When Cassi and I crashed the NPA meetings in San Francisco, we couldn't find
the Royce meeting, but what we should have done is poke our heads in the
doors and looked for the females - since it was Idealism and Feminism that
was being discussed.

The feminine in search of ideals - a good thing indeed.

Thanks as always for chiming in,

John
