[MD] MOQ would seems to imply that above human intelligence computers

Suppose we create an electronic device that functions like a brain cell. 
Like a brain cell, it takes input, is altered & produces the appropriate output. 
Such a device could replace a brain cell.  (Though perhaps it couldn't reproduce 
or repair itself.)  If enough of these devices replaced brain cells, must there 
be a point at which consciousness is lost?
