Hi Mary,
Mary said:
And by the way, for DMB, and Ant (whom I know from way
back), and Matt, and Steve's benefit, there are those of
us who have a great deal of formal education (Engineering
in my case) who do not have an academic level knowledge
of philosophy, so you can save the supercilious attitude
for those who failed to finish high school.
Matt:
I'm sorry, Mary. I try generally not to be mean-spirited,
though I sometimes fail. I don't like to be thought of as
mean. Some people don't care. I feel bad about being on
the list. I also don't know what I said, or when.
I'm sorry if I said something once that offended. Perhaps
it's own kind of offense, but I can't even recall a
conversation I've had with you. If I said something once,
maybe to somebody else or just a general fiat-statement,
that you took to heart, I apologize. I like talking to
people, and I don't like finding I've inadvertently slammed
doors before even realizing they were there. (Some
doors I slam on purpose.)
Matt
