Marsha:
I see the levels as a collection of like static patterns of value within a 
hierarchical, evolutionary structure.  In our discussion we use all sorts 
of words other than patterns.  I think the word 'collection' serves better 
understanding, but I can see a collection of likeness as a pattern.
