The Metaphysics of Quality IS defining and analysis of Quality! That is what a
metaphysics IS, an attempt to describe 'reality'.

Again, Marsha, Pirsig's metaphysics does not precede "defining and analysis",
it IS THE RESULT OF IT!

Saying "Reality is DQ/SQ and SQ can be further subdivided in IBSI patterns of
value" is A DEFINITION AND ANALYSIS OF REALITY.

How about this? Once the defining and analysis of Quality has started, it has
dropped into the Intellectual Level... which is precisely where Pirsig's
metaphysical speculations are.
