Marsha, Joe and Arlo,

The 4th level of evolutionary being is best expressed as a dualism of
romantic/classic understanding.

This dualism corresponds to heart/head or art/science.  Heart is not DQ, but
heart is the closest thing we have in our efforts to
discover/reveal/encapsulate DQ.  The head takes the insights of the heart,
and codifies and slices, dices and analyzes, but it is artistic intuition
which leads the way in intellectual evolution.  Leonard Schlain demonstrates
the empirical evidence for this leading, in his excellent book, Art and
Physics, showing that artistic insight always leads scientific insight.

The 4th level is infinite at the upper boundary, and the heart leads the
way.  DQ is the moon and art is the finger.

Thus, heart is much, much more than shmaltzy emotionalism.  The heart knows
reasons that reason know not.

At least, that's what my heart tells me.
