John:

I was basing my logic on an acceptance of co-dependent arising. Read dmb's
latest on W. Jame's advocacy of Fechner, or Robert Lanza's *biocentric
universe* - the view that life and biology are central to being, reality,
and the cosmos — a top-down model that is more accurate than the bottom-up
moronist idea of simpler elements combining mysteriously to form more
complicated patterns.

I see the "emotional level" as the same as level 3 - the social. For it is
in caring in relation to other that emotions exhibit. If we extend caring
downward, according to my top-down model, then it is the socially realized
caring, that pulls life from the inorganic to the organic.

I know this sounds confusing because of the normal way we've been taught
evolutionary arising from randomness, in the classroom and on tv.

But it makes sense to me! (And Fechner, James, Lanza, Royce, etc.)

 John
