That's interesting.  My mind says "doubtful," because--as Granger's 
book sets out to show--Pirsig parallels Dewey's work on art, 
aesthetics, and experience and I doubt Dewey is taught much in Art 
Departments, and my mind wants to say, too, that aesthetics in 
general isn't even taken terribly seriously in Art Departments.  But 
then again, those are somewhat more baseless opinions than 
normal, as I have even less of an idea of what's going on right now 
in Art Departments than I do Philosophy Departments.
