Candidate A once said, "you are either WITH us and my SLOGAN or you
are AGAINST us."
Candidate B had a more nuanced position. "I am all for SLOGAN if you
mean THIS but not if you mean THAT. Though I agree with THIS and
certainly mean THIS when I say SLOGAN, I am concerned that lots of
folks would think that I meant THAT by SLOGAN, so instead of saying
SLOGAN, I choose to say other things."
Candidate A said, "I see no difference between saying you don't want
to say SLOGAN for a bunch of nerdy egg-head reasons and denying SLOGAN
all together, therefore you are AGAINST us."
The voters of course agreed.
