No I am not passing the blame to the women, the point I was trying to
make is that this is a crazy patriarchal society, and the women are the
abused, yet when it comes to doing the crazy things like the foot binding
and women circumcisions, it's the older women doing to the younger ones.
The oppressed becoming the oppressor.

as for the comment about killing all the grandmothers as apposed to the
grandfathers, is that in these societies, the very young children would
be at home with their mothers and grandmothers ( the men are out of the
house) and hearing the stories being repeated.
