I just wanted to reiterate to everyone, as simply and explicitly as possible so that there is no misunderstanding--that is not at all what I argued in that piece.

Bo is just doing to me in a concerted fashion what he usually only does to Pirsig on that large a scale, but does to everyone in general--he haphazardly clips out series of words that he likes without any sense of the larger purpose to which those words were intended.

Nowhere in that short piece do I suggest that the intellectual level is the S/O distinction.  I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of S/O Party.
