I chuckled to myself at the "jesus christ!" epithet and maintained a
sardonic smile in my response which I'd hoped would come through my
fingers...

Old man shoveling snow,
Not laughing and why should he?
Rather curl up with a good book, a hot-buttered rum (yum)
and wait for spring.
Like all troubles, it  all melts away in the end.

I'll post a story I finished last night, give you something to read while
I'm gone painting.
