And of course I agree with your sentiment completely. But neither would I
want to live in a city where there was nothing BUT pubs, dives, and various
dens of vice. Such things have their relative value in an industrialized
culture, but there is a fitting ratio - no more pubs than churches and you
need some workers to pay for the beer.
Tha's, all, proper proportions. It's like a recipe.
