Precisely my take Dan,

All Bo is being asked to do is "give it a rest".

Kill all intellectual patterns - including his claims for his own
SOMist version to be Pirsig's - give us a break Bo.

It has sod-all to do with censorship, despite all the straw men being
thrown up (even - yikes - by Matt !?!)  It is a shame - as in shameful
- that Horse is put through the mangle by all the butter-wouldn't-melt
/ holier-than-thou opinions on the subject. It's his job, he's doing
it in practice, the theorists should butt out.
